Apron constructed from the deconstruction and reassembly of a pair of shorts.
Originally developed from a bermuda pattern, the piece was dismantled and reconstructed through a process of displacement, inversion and relocation. Familiar elements remain present, yet no longer occupy their expected position. Pockets are concealed within the garment while their construction lines remain visible on the exterior, revealing traces of the original structure.
Made in off-white cotton twill, the piece explores the relationship between function and perception. Developed as a singular garment, it approaches clothing as an object of construction rather than repetition.

CORTEX
Hooded jacket exploring the relationship between the human body and the natural landscape.
Constructed in brown cotton twill, the garment features an entirely unlined interior with bound seam allowances, pressed to one side and topstitched. Ten suspended natural cork elements are attached through embroidered cords, while an integrated cork visor extends the hood's silhouette.
The piece explores the use of natural materials within contemporary garment construction. By incorporating cork into the structure of the jacket, it reflects on how clothing can soften the visual contrast between the human body and the natural landscape. Rather than imitating nature, the garment introduces fragments of it into the silhouette, suggesting a quieter coexistence between body and natural spaces.
